Welcome! Brooksie Cakes is a home-based custom bakery located in Oakland, MI. It is singularly owned and operated by me, Kim Brooks.

Baking has been a passion of mine since I was a little girl. I have always enjoyed creating, decorating, and sharing my love of sweets with others. I even had a grandmother that had her own cake decorating business as well. I can officially say, "it runs in my blood."

After staying at home with our 4 children for several years, I decided to get back into the baking and decorating world. I found work in a cookie bakery, a cupcakery, and most recently as the head decorator/pastry manager at Papa Joes Gourmet Market these past 5.5 years. After building a clientele of repeat customers on the side, I decided it was time to start my own business.
